Mr.R.Sivakumar, also known as S.Kumaar, was awarded the 'Rajiv Gandhi Shiromani Award, 2009 in a glittering function held on 19 8 09 in New Delhi by the National Integration and Economic Council'. The award was given in the category of Entrepreneurs.
The award was conferred on the occasion of the 65thBirth Anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi. There was a galaxy of eminent public men present on the dias including Sri. E.S.L.Narasimhan, Governor of Chattisgarh, Sri Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary, Governor of Megalaya, Dr. Bhisma Narain Singh, Former Governor of TamilNadu & Assam and Sri Choudry Randhir Singh, Former Governor of Sikkim,Dr.GVG Krishnamoorthy, Former CEC, Major Ved Prakash, General Secretary-AICC.
The award has been predominantly given to persons who have proved themselves in Rural Governance, Education, Health Care, Social Service, Women Achievers and Entrepreneurs.
Mr.R.Sivakumar, a graduate of IIM-Ahmedabad, has held many senior positions in various Corporates like SPIC, MAC Industries, Karvy Consultants Ltd., etc. He entered into Realty industry in 2005 by launching a concern called ‘Palace Homes’ and within a short span of 4 years he successfully completed and marketed nine projects and is about to launch his tenth project shortly. With the kind of acumen he possesses and planning & execution he does, no doubt, he has won the confidence of his clients.

Mr R.Sivakumar has been honoured as a Paul Haris Felow by Rotary International. He has been awarded the ‘PEAKS’ award in July’09 by the National Integrity Cultural Academy for his contribution to Industry. In August’09, Palace Homes have been selected and awarded by ‘Vanigamani’, a well known magazine in construction industry, for providing Quality Flats for the year 2008-09. Being an innate philanthrophist, he sets apart a part of his net income to support organisations taking care of the underprivileged sections of the society.
This ‘Rajiv Gandhi Shironmani Award’ has come at the right time when he has well-knit plans to enter into infrastructure segment.
On his receiving the Award Mr.R.Sivakumar says, “Awards certainly are a driving force and whenever I received an Award I felt greater commitment to the industry I am in. Our goal should always go ahead of us and we should never feel we have achieved the goal.”
